My overhead garage door (not electric) is getting tougher to lift open and close. I've never done any maintenance on it. What maintenace should I be doing to keep it rolling smoothly?

What keeps it up?
Is it..
2 massive springs (with nylon or rubber wheels that run in a "track"?
or is it counterbalanced with cables and weights?
Also is it "twisting"? Stiff on one side?

It has those massive springs. They were replaced a few years ago.

The only thing I can tell you to do is grease if possible the hinge pivots or squirt oil in (with an oil can),
Inspect the runners and the wheels If they are rubber or plastic make sure they are not getting perished ,If they are metal then you can oil/grease the track ,after clearing the track (as below)
However if they are plastic or rubber all you can do is try to brush any debris away out of the track(with a hand brush)By greasing them accelerates wear!
Found Perished wheel(s) You may be able to buy them separately,or find a scrap door with similar wheels (at a junkyard?) fitting them needs a bit of time and patience (also a bit of "strong arm" as well )

Thanks Bedstor , I wasn't sure if it was OK to oil the metal wheels, they look like they never have been. I'll be cleaning out those tracks too. After a more thorough check of the contraption, I noticed a wire cable has a kink, looks like a replacement is due.
