Any one know why the texture on my ceiling next to the fire place might be coming off? no moisture or water marks of course we have only had 4 in. rain fo r the year don't think that is much of a factor. Thanks

Carr, first some questions:
How long has it been on?
What was it put on over?
Had the fireplace been used much?

It sounds like the ceiling was too dry when the texture was put on.
