Do you ever direct scriptures, surahs, spells, and the like toward your pet(s)? ************************************************** 02-13-06, 07:56 AM Sherasi No.. the closest I get is Epithets! Wink
My dogs are "devil" dogs... too mischievious to pay attention to spirit matters. Big Grin
02-13-06, 09:08 AM juanruiz Yes. In fact, my parakeet has applied for admission to Harvard Divinity School.
02-13-06, 09:35 AM Elexina I have done meditations to improve my communication with my cats, I have performed healing rituals for them, and when (if) the ground thaws I will perform a ritual for my recently departed cat before placing her sardine can into the ground. In my opinion, pets are family members. If we accept the responsibility of bringing them into our houses, we should regard them and treat them as we would treat our other family members (as long as this is reasonable -I am not feeding my cat from a fork!). If I would do a healing ritual for my husband, I will certainly do one for my cat.

Why a parakeet? Is that because it is certain to pass 'with flying colours'? The bird will end up mindlessly reciting whatever it is it has been told by some teacher, provided that the teacher repeats the same words often enough. It will neither know nor accept any variant from this pattern.
Sounds as though it's destined to preach and teach at the highest level.

Yes. The ideal professor or minister.
02-13-06, 07:51 PM newnickname So, I guess your parakeet is a bird of pray.
02-13-06, 09:55 PM juanruiz Seems that way. And he won't budgie from that stance.
02-13-06, 10:37 PM newnickname Well, it'll be a real feather in his cap if he gets into Harvard. Don't let him crow about it too much, though. Once there, do you think he'll study hard for exams, or will he just wing it?
02-13-06, 10:44 PM juanruiz I'm certain he won't do anything fowl.
02-14-06, 05:23 AM tsaeb I knew that y'all would enjoy this thread.
juanruiz: I thought that only a parrot, never a parakeet anyway, repeats what it hears.
Elexina: Since when do witches meditate? I thought that they only cast spells.

What you call a parakeet in America is a kind of parakeet that we call a budgerigar, isn't it? Well, budgerigars talk pretty well and they learn just as parrots do.(And as noted, once they've learned they won't budgie ) PS I thought the line about 'flying colours' was bad enough
02-15-06, 06:09 AM tsaeb I can only tell you that I once mistook an ox for a bull in one of the forums, and juanruiz was who corrected me. Tweet.

Since always. There are many threads attesting to that.
