The meaning of life is to live. That's like asking 'what is the mean of a chair?' The meaning of a chair is to provide a place to sit. One can't do anything more with life than live it. Nothing has a purpose beyond what it does and so, in so far as what something does is a purpose, life's purpose is to do what it does. Life isn't here for any purpose, but it is here and if one were to ask what its for, life can only be for what its capable of providing, which is the ability to live. That's the main reason why I live.

Survive long enough to pass your genetic material on to the next generation. Everything else is an invention of Man.

One has moments of heightened awareness. At those times I am filled with astonishment that (by whatever means) I have been fitted with the sense organs to perceive even a few little glimpses of an external world so amazingly varied and beautiful and a brain equipped to form images and think 'about' the images, too.

That is why I feel great about being alive, and why I will not feel sorry when my life ends. Even a moment of such awareness is infinitely precious. I feel privileged for what I have had, and I'm not greedy for more.

I mean, why should anything exist? But it does, and we're here. That's life!

To value ones life, and the lives of others, because this is all we have, this time, here and now. There is nothing better.

Blehhh, no thanks on that one!

The meaning of life to me is to be happy and comfortable, and maybe leave behind a little patch of wisdom when I am gone.

The chief end of man is to know God and enjoy Him forever.

Ecclesiastes 3 always had a lot of meaning for me-11 He has (K)made everything [a]appropriate in its time He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man (L)will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end. 12 I know that there is (M)nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one's lifetime; 13 moreover, that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor--it is the (N)gift of God.

And Ecclesiastes 12:13The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: (W)fear God and (X)keep His commandments, because this applies to (Y)every person. 14For (Z)God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.
