Does anyone know what color is cognac in clothes?

In simple terms, I'd call it a medium brown. I see it as a dark amber brown, with a reddish tint.

Since cognac gets it color from the oak barrels in which it is aged, I guess its color depends on how old the cognac is and exactly which type of oak was used. Since cognac comes in different colors (or variations of a reddish medium brown), the clothes named as cognac will also vary in color.

Thanks Dorian. It's a long story but I was told it was gold, but that didn't sound right. I needed a gold suit which is hard to find, and somebody mentioned cognac....the rest of the story is boring.

LOL, but I couldn't figure out how to research it. I looked in the dictionary and all was there was the drink, and didn't mention a color. Anyway, thanks again.
