1. How many freckles did that “All American Boy”, Howdy Doody, have?

2. Who really killed the wife of “The Fugitive”? (I really don’t need his exact name.) (Yes, the movie and TV show had the same killer.)

3. Who is currently the longest running non-animated character on prime time network (broadcast) television? (I’ll accept either the actor or the character.)

4. “Married with Children” was a huge hit. What was father Al Bundy’s occupation ?

5. Tony Soprano was, of course, a mobster. But what did he tell his children his job was?

6. What two actresses portrayed Miss Ellie on the hit series “Dallas”? (5 points each name)

7. Name the characters portrayed by Forrest Tucker and Larry Storch in the series “F Troop.” (5 points for both last names and 5 points for both first names)

8. This person was the first to receive Emmy nominations for playing the same character on 3 different sitcoms. (In other words, this person was nominated on 3 different series for playing the same character.) Who has this honor?

9. What was the first TV series to spawn a movie?

10. On what show did we first hear the word “Kowabunga”?

Yes to shoe salesman, No to Turtles.

No one can Google at trivia contests, Mike. Like I said, it's all in your head. Or it isn't.

While it wasn't on my typed list of questions, I stressed US television on Q 3. I should have done so in here. So Bedstor may have answered what I asked in here, but the US question is still open.

No to Q 9.

3. Frasier Crane

5. Garbage Collector

6. Barbara Bel Geddes and Donna Reed

8. Kelsey Grammar (so I am guessing that my other answer of Frasier is wrong?)

I get no points for the one-armed man. That was previously answered.

You're right, Fuse; you were wrong about #3. (Frasier is seen only in reruns now.) All the rest is correct.

Nothing beyond this. Even older than Me Big Grin. Quatermass (early 50's) movie in 1955 (series was 1953) (from the UK)Format led to Doomwatch and Dr Who Smile

Not Quatermass, and you should remember that this was an American contest. The correct answer is an American series and an American movie. "The Quatermass Experiment" ran for 6 episodes in 1953, and "The Quatermass Xperiment" (1955) was actually a pilot for a second series, "Quatermass II" (1955).

In any case, the answer I have is an older movie from an older series.

#10: cowabunga
(exclamation): Originating as a greeting by Chief Thunderthud (the only Indian ever to have a moustache) to the Peanut Gallery on the 50's television program "The Howdy Doody Show", the term was later adopted by surfers in the 60's.

9). Without doing any research I will guess "Batman". which I swear had a horrible movie during its run.

Nevermind... I read the "older movie form an older series" above. I will go watch more TV and ruminate on this one.
