1. A whale was recently harpooned off the coast of Alaska. Scientists were able to determine about how old it was by looking at the age of an old harpoon buried under several inches of blubber. Their estimate had a range of 15 years. Correct answers will be one of those 15 years.

3. Who is the current Commander of the multi-National Forces in Iraq?

5. What fell from the sky recently in Dubuque, Iowa that made national news?

8. Just how many Warner Brothers were there?

9. What were the character names of the roles of John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in the movie “Grease”? (First name is all that is necessary.) (5 points each)

To get credit, contestants had to answer somehow saying that he was the fat man in a newspaper or fat man in ad. I know of no source stating that the ad was real, just that he was the "Before" in a Before & After weight loss newspaper ad.

Partially true DG He Had Been on A crash Diet
and They made the ad UP Big Grin
from the IMDB
quote:
[Alfred Hitchcock] in "before" and "after" pictures in a newspaper advertisement for Reduco Obesity Slayer. The pictures were genuine, as he had just been on a crash diet (although not with the fictional Reduco) from 300 to 200 lbs. However, the so-called "Reduco Obesity Slayer" diet pill or potion ad seemed so real that audience called the studio and wrote letters to Alfred Hitchcock asking where could they get this product.
Big Grin

One for your Spoof (But nearly true) archive DG?

7) I think Harrison Ford tied for most, but I cannot remember how many. I do not know if anyone other than lead actors / actresses has more credits, though I would assume there are.
