Hi,
Everyone knows the terms 'quintuplets', 'sextuplets'and 'septuplets' but what is the correct name for a group of nine notes (i.e. performed in the time of 8, for grade 5 theory requirements). For the sake of 'completeness', I would like to use the correct term in my theory book I have written.

Many thanks!

The term for describing nine notes played in the time of eight is a nonuplet.

Cheers! Ritz. Wink

Dear 'Ritsmar' Wink
How on earth did you manage to get hold of that information? I didn't have it in my dictionary- You're a mine(field)of information.Nonuplet is a strange word though, since it sounds as if nothing should be played.

Bye and happy forthcoming Christmas,
from 'rac' Wink
