Anyone want to take a stab at this one? (There is a pun coming up.) An aria from an opera, cantata, passion, oratorio, or whatever which cannot be sung well? My candidate is "Der Hölle Rache" from Mozart's Die Zauberflöte. And, of course, for those who know the opera, there is the pun. Did he hate the original singer who was to perform as the Queen of the Night, to write such a devilishy difficult aria? Or did he love her and know she could perform it? Any other candidates?
