Lacie is laying on the couch.. and Jaden cruises past her, maybe hesitating in observation, and Lacie does a low warning growl snap.. occassionally makes skin contact... NEVER breaking the skin and not always even touching..50% of the time.
When it happens she gets kennel time after a sharp verbal admonishment.

Or you can try to train the child before something truly bad happens .Small children are innocently vulnerable. I wince when a child, mislead by its own mother, tries to pat a dog on the head. No child (or adult, come to that) should be allowed to pat a dog on the head. And they shouldn't make eye contact with a dog. Small children are excellent at staring at the 'doggy', without realising that they are doing so, all the while making the dog anxious and, in some cases, prompting it to attack them.
