I have been trying to sell my 3 yr old welsh corgi pembroke for awhile now and I am so frustrated. I have 2 other dogs and this pembroke is the youngest. He is just too active for me. Does anyone have any ideas on how to sell this dog? I have adds placed at vets offices, I had him in the newspaper with no luck, I have adds on free pet classifieds online..I am not asking much for him either and pretty soon the price will drop to free if I cant sell him. Any ideas? Thanks..kim

You appear to be doing all the right things. The problem is that people are somewhat reluctant to purchase a dog that is 3 years old. A red flag goes up, indicating a problem dog.

How did you describe the pembroke in your ad?

My husband said hes actually 2 1/2 yrs old but he misewell be 3 yrs old....I just put in the add what he was, his age, red & white male, crate trained, great with people and kids....I dont recal what else I put in the add......Aside from the fact hes active and his constant pacing is about to drive me insane. No one told me you can not have 2 male dogs in the house. I have been wanting to sell him long before this time but my husband and my son at the time did not agree with my decision to get rid of the dog. I am seriously ready to give him away - I will eat what I paid for him just to have the dog go to a new home. I might contact my local animal shelter. It may be the only chance I have.

You could try the Corgi Rescue Service, or Forepaws Corgi Rescue or the Welsh Corgi Club of America Rescue. As they specialise in Corgis, you may have better luck there than locally.
