Is chemo (for cancer) for dogs the same as it is for humans? Does it cause the same symptoms? If anyone has a link here, it would be greatly appreciated. Smile

Apparently, chemotherapy is actually gentler on pets. By the time pets are diagnosed, the cancer is usually pretty far progressed. Becasue of this, the goals of chemotherapy in pets is to extend the pets' lives and increase their quality of life, not truly cure them. This means that the treatment isn't as strong and has fewer side effects.
