Alot of you know that my german shephard has a growth on the roof of her mouth. It has been there at least three weeks now and the doc put her on antibiotics and steriods and it has almost doubled in size. So next week she has surgery on it. Shes 7 years old and they don't know if its cancer or not but, at this point it doesn't matter the vet said. She said at the rate its growing in a few months it would be big enough that she would not be albe to shut her mouth. So please think of her as she goes thru this. I don't know how it will end up at this point. She said it may even take two surgeries to get it all out.

Sammy!!! I will definitely have poochie thoughts and prayers for you!!! What's the dog's name anyway??? I do hope that things come along well - 7 is NOT old for a dog!!!!!!! Lyds
Samantha, You and your dog are in my prayers and thoughts. I had to deal with something similar with my Rot. She had a large growth on her stomache. It started out small and by the time they removed it, it was the size of a baseball. Thankfully, everything is ok now. I'm sure your dog will be ok. Vets can do so much with animals that they couldn't do years ago.
Sammy, I will keep Cassie in my thoughts and prayers every single day. Please keep us posted after her surgery. I have a good feeling she'll be okay, and lydia is right, 7 is NOT old. I have a 16 year old that's going strong!
PS Tell Cassie that Jake says hi, he is praying for her, and he loves her.
