Is there any reason for not giving dogs cow's milk ? I've heard people say that cheese is bad for dogs too but I've never understood why that is either. Certainly I've never noticed any ill effects over many years with dogs, some of whom regard cheese as worth fighting for, though a few seem not particularly keen on it (true of normal canine foodstuffs too, of course).

FredPuli, I think you will get mixed reviews on this. Some vets say it's fine - others say no way...they can't digest it. Personally I think it's a matter of the animal. Animals, like people, can be lactose intolerant and could suffer painful digestive problems while others can be fine...

As a whole, milk products aren't necessarily unhealthy for them, but do keep an eye on the animal for any adverse situations.
