anyone know of anything that really is indestrucable?? i went out and bought one of those kong things and it was eaten in about 3 days. as in NOTHING left of it except the bits being pooped out. i am at wits end trying to find things for my dog to chew on. she is not a big dog, slightly smaller than a cocker spaniel, but has the jaws and teeth youd expect on a dinosaur dog ;]

Man you have a serious chewer on your hands! Have you tried a Nylabone? Those are pretty tough. They are much harder than Kongs.

What coloured Kong did you get. I understand that the black ones are supposed to be tougher than the red ones.

Did you fill the kong with any sort of treat. Peanut butter works well. This will make the dog want to suck on the Kong more than chew it.

Other than that my dog has destroyed most of her other toys. The Kong is the strongest one I have found so far.

I hope you are just kidding about the rocks. I've seen many dogs with broken teeth because of their love of rocks. And I just remembered about a friends dogs chewing woes. He gave his dog all kinds of plastic/or rubber type toys and his dog would do the same, eat them. But the toys caused an obstruction in his bowels and he nearly died. They did operate, but the dog is now blind and still has other health problems.

Buy a solid kong as opposed to the hollow ones this may last a little longer. Many indestructable toys come with a garante that if destructed you can have another look out for one of these then it wont cost you so much every time your dog destroys the toy.

just an update on the chewing. we tried one of those nylabones... and its perfect. she chews and cheas and chews (then our boy dog tries to take it away and she chews on him )but its still there :]
we've also moved and the pine tree in the front yard provides its own chew toys so i dont have to go buy so many for her ;]
