I have lost a file through one of those "file is already in use. You may work with it but you must save it under another name" deals. I am using WordPerfect 9. Do any of you WP gurus out there know how I can access the recycle bin or get it back another way, perhaps?

I think what this message means is that the file in question was already open, in another application (program) or another Word Perfect window. If that is the case, the file should be available for use the next time you open your Word Perfect, in the same save location that it was previously saved.
If you have trouble finding it, you can do a search for the file. Click Start/Search/Files or Folders.
You will probably find it in one of the Document folders. Type in the filename with a .wpd file extension:
filename.wpd
If that doesn't work, type in:
filename.*.
This search will find any file with that name regardless of the file extension.
If you can't remember the filename, type in:
*.wpd
That will find all files with the Word Perfect file extension, .wpd.
I hope this helps!
