I have recently acquired a laptop, and beofre I got my wireless network card, I had it connected to our home-network through a LAN-cable. However, after I acquired my W-LAN card, every time I start my laptop, it attempts to boot from the PXE-ethernet cable which is missing. I mean, why should I keep a network cable in my laptop, when I have a wireless connection? However--during the process of trying to boot from the PXE Ethernet, the start-up process gets completely stuck, and I have to re-start the start-up process, sometimes up to three times before the computer is willing to start Windows. Normally (I suppose this is a bit due to my own "superstition", I enter the "setup" during the start-up phase, go to "load default settings" and then "save and exit", normally this leads to Windows starting up, but only the second time I do this.) What can I do? I already deleted the "Family network" icon from "Network connections"; why does my computer still know that it once was connected to the network?
Thanks a bunch,
Viljar
