I have Microsoft Works Word Processor, I can't stand it. I cannot find a way to paste anything more than a few words. I need a free word processor that is very user friendly. I am only copying lists for my own personal use. I need no tables, charts, or graphics. Are there any free ones to look for? Are there ones to avoid?

agree with that and it can use parts of other Office program formats Smile

I just downloaded Open Office... it seems to be working quite well... 108M download though... a bit hefty if you're NOT on high speed...

There is also StarOffice which is now attached to Google So it has some Google bits and Pieces attached (as a suite)
Just choose what you want on the tick list and start the download

PS This is FREE but the near identical PAY version is $80!! Eek

Have to download a tiny 800k installer program first to handle the download and you can do a bit at a time and not lose a byte Cool

Now the Bad News it weighs in at 143 MB! Frown

Google also has an online word processor, called Google Docs. It allows basic document editing, and all files are stored on Google's server, so they're accessible from any web browser - nothing to install! (More info)
