I am trying to get my fatherescomputer up and running but when he downloaded winmx for some reason I think he didn't do it correctly because none of the music is showing up in media player. It is in my music and you can play it with media player but it does not show up in the media library?? I am in need of help asap because I do not live in the same town and am leaving for home at lunch time tommorow. os is winxp. Thanks all.

On my version of Windows Media Player the Library is stored at:
C:\WINDOWS\Favorites\Media

If you move the prevoiusly downloaded music files to this Folder they should then show up in W M P's, Favorites list.

I 've never used "winmx". but I'm guessing that there is some way to set it's default download folder. If there is, set it to the above pathname and that should do it.

Yo byter thanks for answering. But after searching and searching I found out what I had to do was go into media player and in the tools and options played around in there. I also uninstalled and reinstalled it. NO offence to my father but he is really clueless. So I figured if I reinstalled it, it would be better seeing I know a little more than him and know it would be done properly. Thanks again.
