Anyone having Atomica Slingshot and attempting to use it will see a message saying that Slingshot is to be discontinued shortly and inviting them to upgrade to GuruNet 4.1, which sounds like "Son of Slingshot".
I have tried twice to use their "update" link, which they say should take under a minute with my broadband connection. Several minutes later, however, the new program has still not installed, and on the last try it slightly upset my desktop. I use WinXP, and restarting the computer put things back where they should be.
Have other Atomica users had the same experience? Any suggestions/comments/advice? I am inclined to uninstall Atomica completely, though I have found Slingshot useful

Many thanks, bedstor. Got it now. My firewall was interfering with the download.
I made the mistake of implementing the fixes on their site without waiting to see if they were needed. The fixes blocked access to the Internet, so I couldn't post this until I had unpicked the fixes!
