I have Norton Anit Virus on my computer. And as anyone with the program knows, it has Live Update on it which updates the symantec products and components on my system.

I have to update mine everyday. I thought you only had to do it once a week? Is this normal?

The more often you update, the more protection you get from your anti virus software. Weekly updates usually satisfy most people - I update every other day.

Symantec (makers of Norton) work everday to research new viruses. This is why Norton has a new update almost everyday.

You don't mention the version number of your Norton AntiVirus, but the later versions can be set to update automatically, whenever there is an Internet Connection available.

To set that, open Norton AntiVirus, then click on the "Options" and then "Live Update". Set it to automatically update.

This shows the norton AntiVirus 2003 program window open to "options" and "Live Update" set to automatically update.
