I have a very new ver of win xp. When win media player plays my WMV film clips which I daisy chain together it tries to connect to the net at the end of each clip. This interrupts continuous viewing and is annoying. I have a few months older ver of win xp on my laptop and this doesnt happen. What tick is in what box which is causing the latest WMPlayer to try to do its own unwanted thing. I dont want to connect to the net at the end of each clip

I'm not sure but there is plenty of room in your profile for your E-Mail Address. And any registered user here can see that so keep it there. Other wise anybody can send U unwanted E-Mail.

This explains it a tad better

Open your Windows Media Player and click on the "Tools" menu, then the Options command. Then in the "Player" tab uncheck the options to automatically look for a license and, if it still attempts to connect, uncheck the option to automatically check for updates.

If it still attempts to connect every time, please post back and we'll try something else.
