I had always thought that the Print Screen key was just totally useless never working. Then some time back on a post here I discovered it works and for whatever reason copies the screen to the Clipboard Viewer. Having tried this now it comes up with the dreaded "open with" box. Doesn't seem any program accepts the .clp format. So again what good is this?
Of course I must be missing something here. What progam will open a *.clp file?

You can open screen shots in Paint(it's part of Windows). You find it under start>programs>accessories>paint. There you can remove the browser frame. Choose the dotted outline tool, start in one corner and drag to size. This is probably not the best way --- I copy whats inside the frame and open it in a new Paint window. Under File you can save it as a .jpg.

Thanks all. Got it to work finally. Paint and everything kept coming up with invalid or unrecognized format. Paint finally took. Don't know when I would really use this. Just perplexing why PRINT screen does not go to a printer. duh

Most of the images that I post here when trying to explain something involve a screen shot. I often ask my remote clients to send me a screen shot of error messages they're seeing so that I can get a better idea of what is going on with their system.
