Hi! I have a Sprint LG PM225 cell phone, and I have a data cable for it. It came with a little disc that I did install on the computer, but it doesn't do anything...as far as getting anything from my phone to the computer. The data cable I have is a universal cable. It's a: Mybat USB Data Cable. Additional software is needed, and I don't know what I need. Can anyone help me? Thank you!

Are you sure you need anything else? When I hook up my Motorola V360 it becomes a removable hard drive on my PC. I can use Windows Explorer to drag and drop, pictures, songs, etc.
Just in case...How to find a "removable hard drive" as noted by Kendor above.
One method of determining what drive letter is assisgned is:
Open "My Computer"
Take note of all drives (Drives would have a drive letter, like "D:\" or "G:\", "H:\", or "I:\").
Then plug in the telephone data cable into the USB slot. Note any new drive letters. That new drive letter would be the device you plugged in. To open the device, double click on it.

i also have a motorola v400,i bought it at the mall no software and they told me to go to the motorola website for the software and its not available there for this phone due to cingular discontinued this phone model , and mybat usb data cable software doesnt easily show up when googled, so what else can i do to get this goin,my pc doesnt show any harddrives,its usb driver info shows its not recognize it and its a unknown device,im using xp home on my laptop , any takers for help?

actually,i found out your gonna need to d/l the software for it and its 29.99 off the motorola site but its hidden,you have to a do a motorola search to find it and its a big file , but this got the problem fixed,damn 3rd party mall vendors!
