cattywampus0 Diamond Enthusiast	Posted I am applying for a job that will entail entering text into an Excel spreadsheet. I know how to operate Excel with numbers (money, etc.) but text? Would formulas be involved? What is the point in using Excel to enter text, wouldn't a simple WP program work? Thanks for any help.

Dwight Diamond Enthusiast Enthusiast of the Year	Posted Hide Post I suggest you select the row or column where you wish to apply the text. Once selected, open the Format Menu/ Format Cell tool and format for text. I assume this is done to insure that no mathmatical formulas are applied to text.
