I seem to recall a while ago someone one here mentioning a free program that lets you change the speed of an audio file. Does anyone know of something like this?
I am very happy with the Amazing Slow Downer, which is share ware. However, the trial version has definite limits, like only the first cut on a CD etc. Its license is reasonably priced, and they allow you to use it on many computers.
You can slow down CDs and other formats, as well as change the pitch. Another nice feature is you can loop a small section, for those hard to hear spots if you are transcribing music.
Google to find their website.
