Does anyone know of a good freeware program to quickly close all running applications (except Explorer and Systray) before running defrag?

I used to use EndItAll but it is not supported for Windows XP.

Thanks for any help.

Press Control+Alt+Delete, click on the "Processes" tab. Click on "User Name" to sort all processes by user. Then click on each non-necessary process, and click on the "End Process" button.

It is difficult to kill all processes before running defrag in Windows XP because XP is an NT-based kernel and it uses services. There is something always running. You can only shut down user-land applications.
