cattywampus0 Diamond Enthusiast	Posted Does anyone use the latest version of Word? For me, every new document is stuck on line spacing of 1.5. I have reset the spacing points to "0", which seems to be the only way to change it, but it still reverts to 1.5. Any help greatly appreciated.

Posted Hide Post I'm using Word 2003 SP2. Have you tried: Format > Paragraph... > Line Spacing ? The choices include single, 1.5, & double. Before you do that you should 'select all' text using ctrl-A, then do the above. Are you using an unusual font or style? New documents open according to the normal.dot template. This can be edited to permanently affect all new documents. In the help box (upper right) type 'change normal template' & follow the directions that come up. Hope this helps. Otherwise I'm stumped.

cattywampus0 Diamond Enthusiast	Posted Hide Post Thank you, Professor. My mistake. The version that I use is Word 2007, and it is very different from 2003. I think only someone who uses Word 2007 could answer this question. Nevertheless, I will follow your suggestion re the normal template, hope it works.

Professor Platinum Enthusiast	Posted Hide Post Gee, catty, I've used MS Office, including Word, for a very long time and through many upgrades -- and hardly anything seemed to change -- other than 'feature creep'. I'm surprised to hear that the 2007 version is that different. Do you have any problems opening older documents created with Word 2003 or earlier?
