butter Bronze Enthusiast	Posted I have the original disk for Window's XP program, my daughter wants to load it onto her computer should she first remove the Win.XP that's already on her computer (the one her computer now is not legit)or will the new one replace it. Thanks

cswchan Gold Enthusiast 2009 Enthusiast of the Year	Posted Hide Post 1 - Boot to CD-ROM with XP, 2 - when it asks if you want to install XP (the 1st time), click yes 3 - Select the 2nd repair option (not the repair console). This will now install XP on top of your original while maintaining all your personal short cuts etc. You MAY have to reinstall your ant-virus progs.
