TalkWorks has been loaded into my computer, replacing good ol' Winfax Pro. Now I'm sooo confused. I don't want all the bells and whistles! I just want to send and receive faxes. Okay okay ... I figured out how to send a fax, but when I set TalkWorks to receive (either manually or automatically), it doesn't! It seems to try and then flips into Receive Log and shows an "X" beside the fax attempt. How can I disable all the bells and whistles, i.e., disable TalkWorks from trying to answer my voice calls? Help!
If you are unable to reconfigure the program to not answer (use the help file): Go to START > RUN> type in msconfig, then hit OK. Select the Startup tab and uncheck any reference to TalkWorks (perhaps TalkWorks.exe). This will prevent the program from starting at bootup. You then start the program, when needed, by the normal START > Programs process (or put a shortcut icon on your desktop.
