Hi again all, I'm trying to find this jumper on the same motherboard I've been working on lately, and cannot seem to locate it. I have no diagram, no specs, no identifying marks on the motherboard that I can find at all. The only thing I have are the chipset numbers:

Intel PCIset
SB82371SB
L6492547
SU 093

Intel PCIset
SB82437VX
L6474925
SU116

Its an AT power supply, both PCI and ISA slots.
The BIOS chip says the following:
Award Software Inc. 1995
PCI/PNP 586
S/N: 059913546 U__________

Any ideas? I've looked near the CMOS battery, but cannot ID the right jumper, and I'm going crazy! I need to get this thing reset to get the password prompt off it when it boots up, I cant get past the second boot screen which lists the primary and secondary drives, memory and so forth. It will not let me in even when I found a list of Award BIOS backdoor passwords. I didnt try them all yet, but have tried several, no luck! The CMOS battery is soldered in, so I cant remove it. Thanks to anyone who can help me figure this out!

Disconnect the power to your computer, then remove the battery. Wait a few minutes, then replace the battery. The settings should be reset.

jwooden,
I cant take the battery out, its soldered in.

Murray:
Since I cant boot into Windows, I cant install Aida32 or anything else that would tell me the make of the mother board. My only option as far as I've been able to determine, is to reset the jumper, as the computer will not boot past the second DOS screen where it lists the hard drives, CDROM drives and so forth. It wont even boot with a boot disk, because it wont get to the point where the boot disk kicks in. Any other ideas?

Hi Chris:
Can you follow along the PC-board traces from the
battery and find any simple component that can be
easily cut then resoldered ?

Perhaps a diode or resistor.
Better yet a jumper that you mention/

Perhaps the board has been coated with an opaque epoxy
that will make this Idea difficult/impossible.

Best to you.
