The fault may (in small letters) be graphic card driver related as it happening on all your IE software. What happens if you go-off line and type a Text note on the desk top is that without Hiccups? Another Possible is a malfunctioning Keyboard I recall somebody many moons ago had a similar situation to yourself and what had happened was the Internal connection cable had worked loose somehow? Or had been opened and the plug was barely touching the contacts (It was raised a fraction of a Millimetre!) But to the Naked eye it was pushed in. Easily overlooked! Only when pressure was applied it slid in fully! Worth an inspection (There will be a lot of case screws!) If it was a tower it'd be 2 or at the Most 3 screws to remove the side panel

if i go offline its works well also i went back to ie7 and it works well. there is something with ie8 its not my computer. Ive ran all the checks and everything points back to ie8. ya i thought about that with the cable being loose too as i remember about that post your talking about but the thing is all is well as long as i don't install ie8 weird. i can type in word or any other program and it works fine. just when i install ie8. Ive sent an email to Microsoft people (i bet that's going to do a lot of good) and i am waiting to see if they have some kinda update for this. maybe its the 64bit and ie8 having con flicks but its supposed to be for 64 bit systems. i have installed Firefox 3 i really like it so far. not one glitch. and its a bit faster too. opens up every page Ive asked it with out a hitch. its too bad i had too ditch unbuntu i really liked it. but i need to have my printer work so its out for now(i really hope this is temporary )if i find a solution ill post back with it. if you guy got some kinda other things to try out ill try them. all i can do is try this n that till i get it. thanx

This is on the Microsoft discussion group forum for IE8 & Vista worth seeing if this is any improvement by enabling this? quote: Tools>Internet Options - Security tab - "Allow Programmatic clipboard access" (default for the Internet zone is Disable)
As for IE 7 And Firefox, I am Clueless Where to go for the same Another area is the ActiveX driver This is worth an update If you have upgraded from XP to Vista without loading this driver(for Vista) you may get gliches like you are experiencing Cannot find this But check Figure #2 on this link - "Windows Feature" window image Why its omitted on the basic Vista Versions is a Mystery! XP has it on All versions! (and I have it turned on!) Doubtless Windows 7 will have this driver too.
