Don't bother with trying to load one driver
as it may be conflicting with the main program.
Try this Uninstall the program again using the Windows Uninstaller NOT the Revo Version and Delete Any Realtek References in the Start Menu
Then Install the Latest drivers(there are several internally )
from Download.com/Realtek-(It is a Universal driver) Updated a few weeks ago Size is nearly 18 MBs
May I also ask you to look at this posting I made This Realtek DVD/Audio Player came bundled with the Drivers on My Motherboard (when I replaced it last year) and compliments the Realtek drivers. Download is about 12 MB
And if the speaker test page is available with the Driver suite, then you can set up the speakers from there Smile

In reply to your answer for my query, there is nothing named realtek audio drivers or anything like that in my installed ones. BECAUSE I HAVE UNINSTALLED IT USING ANOTHER UNINSTALLER. There is the same problem that is stated above while installing the driver.

So, i tried nvidia drivers for installation instead of realtek in which case there is not SETUP.EXE or like that for installing purpose.

I myself created another problem by clicking the uninstall button in the device manager in system speaker which made it an unknown device.

My speaker is not working now that is not making sound. Help me solve the problem.

There are no drivers

(DIRECT MEMORY ACCESS CONTROLLER, INTEL(R)82801 DB/DBM SMBus CONTROLLER-24C3,
INTEL (R)82802 FIRMWARE HUB DEVICE,
MOTHERBOARD RESOURCES,
NUMERIC DATA PROCESSOR,
PROGRAMMABLE INTERRUPT CONTROLLER,
SYSTEM BOARD,
SYSTEM TIMER,
SYSTEM SPEAKER)

for the items inside the bracket in the device manager. how to solve the problem so that my speaker makes sound?

lets clarify what is what
The Nvidia Drivers are for the Graphics card
Not sound

No sound at all? First thing, Make sure the plugs are all pushed in red to red, green to green Or if the speakers only has 1 plug that goes to Green
No Luck?

Next Open the Control Panel on the Start Menu
Locate the Sounds and Audio devices Icon
and work your way across the Tabs ans increasing the Volume sliders where needed
and on the sound Playback section pay close attention to the Master Volume slider on the Far Left side This has a tick box on it this Mutes the speakers if ticked also the slider must be at full volume Put a CD in the drive and set it playing and Surely you must be able to hear something with all the Controls before you

PS A colleague of mine here had a Low /No "Volume Problem" with her laptop Answer. The external volume slider was being Knocked by moving the machine on her lap.
Do be aware on this if you are using a laptop Smile

K. Very Sorry, iam not a happy man,.
THEN VOLUME CONTROL MEANS VOLUME CONTROL.

I cannot find volume control icon in my taskbar it disappeared.

while testing with DirectX Diagnostic tool,

IN THE MUSIC TAB

for the microsoft synthesiser ,

it says Music port activation failed. because there was no sound driver found, check whether your sound card is installed properly.

while during REALTEK AC97 AUDIO TESTING it passed the test(ALL TESTS WERE SUCCESFUL).

During the TESTING OF SOUND tab in this,

the test outcome is

[FAILURE AT STEP 3(DIRECT SOUND CREATE):HSOUNDRESULT=0*88780078 NO DRIVER)].

Then finally, the IMPORTANT QUESTION IS,

what to be done so that speaker make sound without damaging things?

I am sure this is a misinstall issue and wants the Driver reinstalling I shall ask my colleague Dwight to have a look at it

Missing(or hidden?) Volume Icon Well, It is only Hidden when the sound is inactive... default setting (As you said) To Keep it on screen all the Time and you can inspect all the Main Sliders
Follow these instructions
1) Right click on the Start button and Select Properties on the Menu
2) Click on the Taskbar Tab
Look down the Page and you can either Untick the Hide Inactive icons Box then press Apply then OK to reveal all the Icons or click the adjacent "Customize" Box?
2a)The "Customize" Box lead to a list of all the available Items in the Current items List and also several in the Past items list
3) Locate the Volume Item, it also shows you the Picture of the icon when it appears Note the script in the Behavior column It says Hide when inactive Yes? Next Click on the Words.. and a little Menu appears Change the setting to "Always Show" then press the OK button

Now look for the same Volume icon by the clock
"Double click" on it and the Master Volume Slider and Mute "All" box is on the far left of the Panel...Must be all the way up and the "Mute all " Tick box unticked for you to hear something OK ?
If you hear nothing now, then you'll need to reinstall the Realtek driver
This is the Retek Factory download page http://tinyurl.com/4ne7so Tick the agreement "Box" and follow the links to the Driver you need, then select one of the buttons (A or B or C) to start the Download and save the file somewhere safe, when prompted (not very big) then click on the Folder when you are ready and it will install the latest driver for you ...Now does your sound Work? Max out sliders on the Volume Page if Need be?
