I'm not too sure if this is the correct place to post this.

My system has been crashing all week I've dont a few bits and pieces, thinking I've solved the problem - however, it appears I have not.

Sometimes it crashes - blue screen - others it crashes when I do a cold start or when I do a restart I get the following - which, incidentally, means nothing to me!

Stop C000021a(Fatal System Error)
Windows subsystem system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of..........

then a a list of letters and numbers beginning C, I've got to assume it has something to do with my hard drive - but please, can someone help me solve this.

I run Windows XP Professional.

I am not too sure about this Response, however if your Win XP Pro is anything like my son's Xp you have a 'System Restore' feature somewhere on your CPU that should solve this probelm.

Yes thanks for the reply, oddly enough I do a system restore every now and then when I have a problem and it works fine. Why I haven't thought to do it this time is beyond me, so many things have been happening this week.

I'll do that. Another thing that happens, for example I tried twice to post this reply and a window appeared telling me that Internet Explorer has suffered a problem and needs to close. I've noticed this happening a lot lately too.

The only thing I've done differently to my system was instal a window update about 4 days ago, oddly enough around the time this began to happen?

Don's Reply:

Sometimes IEsetup requires reinstalling. Try typing in your Address Line:

IE6ETUP

& Enter & let the IE6SETUP program go thru its installation.
