Hi David Have you got Belarc Advisor? NO? Here is the download link www.belarc.com/free_download.html (only take a few seconds) Run the Scan and in the right hand column (about half way down)You'll see something like this Display NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 [Display adapter] that is my spec yours is.? If it corresponds to a Microsoft update then its worthwhile doing it because it fixes minor issues for that card. Not listed then "Pass" on it Should be Ok

Or is Geforce like DirectX?
Hi David That is correct but Geforce is a brand name OK The DirectX driver goes to a different location If you are going to do the update see if there is a directX update listed also? Go to this page instead of going via Microsoft and you'll get the latest update for your card (click on the "Live update" link) This is the makers site: http://english.aopen.com.tw/products/vga/gf4mx440-v64.htmthis is a partial quote from someone asking for the same on Google answers reply quote:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/defaultt.aspx?url=/windows/directx/downloads/default.htm > Updated the display driver to the latest version. Currently these are the 53.03 drivers from Nvidia. Shows up as version 5.3.0.3. - Nvidia Forceware Driver Downloads (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_53.03)
though the driver (for the card) may be out of date? The first link is still useful
