Why would my wav files start skipping when played in windows media player just all of the sudden? Please make any suggestions. Thanks in advance for any help. confused confused

The number one reason why this happens is because something else is occupying the computer. If you have other applications open, particularly a web browser, this could be the cause. Without more information it is impossible to answer your question with any certainty.

Anyway, Media Player sucks. There are plenty of freeware .wav players on the web. If you can't find one, ask me and I'll write you one.

Sound recorder is a bare-bones wav player/recorder. Uses much less ram than WMP.

Sound Recorder (Windows95 and later) - Start > Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder
