I have a bunch of files in a folder stored in My Documents. I would like to move these files to another folder. Do I have to move them one at a time by uploading and then saving anew? Or is there a shorter, easier way?

Graphical file management is an old trick thats been around since before the creation of Microsoft Windows.


Method 1:

• Navigate to the folder holding the files you wish to move.
  
• Then, Hold the control key (bottom left on keyboard) as you click each file you want. Release the Control key when finished selecting files.
  
• Press Control-X to "cut" the files.
  
• Navigate to the place where you want to move the files to. Press Control-V. The file swill be moved to the new location.
  

Method 2:

• Navigate to the destination folder.
  
• Open a new Explorer window and navigate to the folder containing the files to move.
  
• Hold the Control key (bottom left on keyboard) as you click each file you wish to move. Once you are finished selecting files, release the control key.
  
• Click on one of the selected files and drag it into the window with the destination folder. All the selected files will then be moved into the new folder.
  

NOTE: When using a MacOS based machine, use the Command key (left of spacebar) rather than the Control key used for Windows operations.
