My sister is having trouble loading my emails. She uses Windows and Netscape. Here's what she has to say about it:

"(I can't load your emails). The 'document done' statement comes at the bottom of the screen in the gray section where (it) shows what (percentage) has loaded, etc. When it finishes it says 'document done.' Next is at the top where it says Get Msg, Reply, Print, etc. When your message space won't load, I can hit "reply" and read it there. It is weird. Once in a while someone else's won't load, but yours is fairly consistent. I don't have any problems with some of your messages, though. It's isn't a given, in other words."

Anybody know what might be causing this?

It is probably already installed on her system. in the Start/Programs menu.

If she will will open her Netscape and click the "File" menu, then the "Export" command. She can export the messages to her "My Documents" folder.

Then open Outlook Express and click the "File" menu, Import command. She can then import those same "exported" messages.

If she is able to read all the messages without problem using Outlook Express, she may wish to just use Outlook Express as her email program.

She can use the Tools menu, Account command to set it up to send and receive.

The email settings (POP3 - SMTP) will be the same as in her Netscape installation.

Do you know if she is using the latest version of Netscape? If the emails can be read correctly in Outlook, but she wants to stay with with Netscape Mail, she might try downloading and installing an update.

I hope something here will help.

If your sister has never opened Outlook Express before on her system, I think it will open with a dialog box asking if she wants to set Outlook Express as her "default" email. She can click "No" to that.

Then an "email set-up" wizard may open. She can either setup Outlook Express to send and receive by going through the wizard, or she can just click "Cancel" on the wizard and use the import function to import the messages as described above.

Either way, she can continue to use Netscape as her prime email program if she prefers, just using the Outlook to read messages from you (or any other user of MSN 8). For what it is worth, the two emails you recently sent to me were received without problem. I used both Outlook Express and Outlook to read them. I don't have Netscape installed so I can't try that.

If nothing here helps, or if she doesn't want to bother with all this, you could setup and use Hotmail or Yahoo mail to send her messages.

It sounds like you might be sending messages in html and she may have her email client set to read in text only. Have her click edit/preferences/ and look for the format options to check that html is enabled.
