I got a pop-up a few weeks ago about a program that allows you to write DVD's onto CD-R discs using a CD burner. No dvd burner required. At the time i didn't really think anything of it, and like all pop-ups, i closed it.
Does anyone know if there is such a program and where i could find some info on it?

It probably would be a VCD or a SVCD (Video CD). It won't be as good a quality. And if U're doing it on a CDR most don't do sub menus and stuff.

I don't think it's possible w/o a DVD burner. This might be the company whose pop-up you saw, as their ads have been all over the net. Supposedly your CD-R backup copy will have all the menus, etc:

DVDxCopy is only for DVD's not CD-R's.

CD-R's don't have enough space to hold all the menus and stuff.
