Congratulations in taking a step out of the "darkside"...
The start command from Redhat Linux is startx if the command is not in your shell path you may need to type ./startx I took a look at the Caldera OpenLinux site, I didn't see that it included either the KDE or the Gnome Gui interface you may want to try to verify that. I'm assuming that you're trying to get to a GUI Desktop. It's possible that they included the xwindow libraries but no application. If that's true you'll need to go to the GNOME or KDE websites and download their stuff - honestly though, if you're fairly new to linux it will be a bit tricky to install.

I did see that they included Star Office. If you can get a look at your directory and can find the executable to start it, it will open with a nice gui interface. If it's Star Office 5.2 it will have it's own desktop and you can use it to browse files.

Anyway, don't give up, don't go crazy, it'll all make sense soon!

I finally got into the X Windows part but I had to use a different video card. For some reason there isn't a compatible "driver" for my ATI Radeon 7000 AGP card. Do you know where i can get the "driver". I don't want to have to switch cards everytime I want to use Linux. I'm the only one in my family that likes Linux. My dad kinda does but hasn't had much time to play with it.

That's a pretty common card, and it's been around for a while. It is supported in the standard Redhat distribution, you might see if the redhat driver will install. I'm sure there are several that have been written. You might also try this one.
