I wake up with a splitting sinus head-ache every morning. We went from 60 degree weather to a windchill of 5 degree weather and now heading back to upper 70's for this weekend. All this through a course of 2 weeks.

Georgia85: I used to get migraine headaches, and one of the causes was the rapidly changing weather. These days it is so humid in NY that when I sit on the other side of the room far away from the window, I have no air to breathe, which is why our windows have been open a foot each for the past few days. Incredible but true.

OMG, how high are the temps in NY?
I'm having problems with static electricity and popping everything I touch or vice versa.

tsaeb - Try keeping a fan on your face and head. It helps me when the humidity makes it hard to breathe.
Honi - Make some soup. Really. Let it simmer all day. You need to get more humidity in the air. Doing so should eliminate those sparks. When it gets cold, and the furnace runs more often, moisture is taken out of the air, which will result in those sparks. Getting moisture in the air is also a way to make the house warmer when it really gets cold, and saves on your power bill. Humid air can hold more heat that dry air, so you will feel more comfortable in a humid lower temperature than a dry higher one.
Besides, soup is good for you.
(If you don't want to make soup, just put a pot of water on the stove and keep it at a simmer, uncovered. Just don't let it run dry.)

honilov: We have been getting temperatures in the 50's with humidity in the 70's and 80's these past few weeks. It's even worse when the heat comes up. We have no cross ventilation.
Dorian Greyed: My sister has so many fans in this tiny apartment that I lost count. When I find myself gasping or thinking like a psychotic, I put on the overhead fan, which the cat also requires. I boil water when it gets cold and I find myself stuck on the computer in the middle of the night. I won't tell you what the saucepan looks like on account of my forgetting about the boiling water, which I can't hear where I am sitting.
