Not often I'm stuck for an answer
My computer resets when the internal temp rises and the room temp is about 60 F
I suspect the graphic card fan is not strong enough to cope?
It's a Gforce 2 Card (Gigabyte GV-GX 128(64mb))
Anyone got any idea on "Beefing up" the cooling?(can I fit a stronger fan?)
I am considering buying a G force 4 card but It may run hotter and have a similar Position on the motherboard (Causing the same effects Frown )
The mother boar is mounted verticaly and the graphic and sound card are at the top...above rhe processor ,It's an Athlon XP2000+ chip which runs very hot Eek(where all the heat gathers
Apart from taking it outdoors to help reduce the Temp And increase the online times I am in the situation of getting 30 mins from cold then 5 mins OR Never after it resets (end up staring at a BSOD!!) and runs Checkdisk

It's a custom build job
The vent slots are on one side of the casing Facing the Main board
Has 3 fans in total Graphics board,Main board (Gigabyte GA-7DXR+)and Power supply As far as I can see when I look inside All are "Turning" Graphic board fan Is occasionally noisy
But is it turning at its designed speed? Roll Eyes Seen something in the BIOS Which records the speed the Main fan turns at (also the Chip temp) Would there be similar thing for the Graphics Card? Roll Eyes

The usual candidate for overheating problems is the CPU, although it's certainly possible for videocards. Try underclocking the videocard -- if the reset problem persists, the videocard is not likely the cause.

To underclock the videocard, open Display Properties, Settings, Advanced, Geforce2 (or possibly the Gigabyte model name). Depending on the driver version, you may need to click Additional Properties, and click either a Clock Frequencies tab or list entry.

Set both sliders to minimum, then click Test Settings, OK, Apply, OK, and OK.

To determine if CPU overtemp is a problem, use Alex van Kamm's excellent Motherboard Monitor.

sounds like you've got some good advice... but I'll add one more possibility.

I had a very similar problem with a custom built Athlon machine. (it became my problem because my we built the machine) After replacing fans a couple of times we suspected it was the power supply that was cutting out as temperatures rose. I found a compatible power supply on e-bay for 6 bucks and it's run solid for several months now.
