Hello,
I have a HP slimeline s3100n PC and I am adding a new graph card to it(I'm new to this computer thing). There is an empty PCIe slot in it I am wondering if I have to uninstall the old drivers that came with my computer before adding any new ones with the new card. Hope my question makes sense. Thanks.

Welcome to Answerpool chef

You did not say what card is installed at pressent or are you using On board graphics?

The old card Must be removed otherwise They clash NOTE: Only exception is to have a SLI motherboard which can run 2 linked Identical boards

Moving on and you've slotted in the new board
Drivers for NVidia and ATI Boards ? I have some good news for you
A) You don't Uninstall the driver if you are uprating your Graphic Card with the same Make just update it
B) Both of the companies use universal drivers
which come complete with Bug fixes
C) The only Item to uninstall ,if you want the space, is the driver you don't want (But they don't clash if you forget)

The Nvidia Card uses the NVIDIA Forceware driver and is a 36 MB download
And ATI's version is "ATI Catalyst" @ 34 MB

Be aware that there are Vista compatible versions of both Drivers

Details and Download links for all of these are on this page www.filehippo.com/software/drivers/
