Guess who won?

Sweety spilled a little Orange Crush on his desk and a few drops got on his keyboard. I had him immediately turn it upside down, and we dried up everything we could see with paper towels.

Now, several hours later, some keys don't want to work right. For instance, when he types a D he gets a G.

Reboot didn't help.
Any suggestions?

Keep in mind I am NOT a key board repair person, so don't sue me if this doesn't work Wink

Unplug your keyboard from your computer. Flip it over and unscrew all the screws. Don't lose them lol

Flip it back over and pull off the top casing. With a Q-tip dipped (but not dripping) in alcohol, clean around the keys that aren't working, and anywhere else you see something suspicious. Let air dry, then put the keyboard back together.

I can't guarantee this will work, but it did for me when my keyboard went up against Diet Pepsi. Smile

Throw it in your dishwasher, run a warm, not HOT cycle, without soap. Allow to dry for a couple of weeks, or place in a WARMING (125 deg F)oven for a few hours.

Well, I guess it just wanted to freak us out a bit cause the silly thing seems to be working fine this morning.

Sure did scare me for a while there. He uses one of those split ergonomic things (I hate it!) and a new one just wasn't in the ol holiday budget.
