howdy im stumped. i just bought the worst board. its a msi-k7n2gm2 now at first i could not get it to power up then with a few ?s i found that i did not put the darn heatsenk on right ok i admit fault. now i cant get the on board vidio to work.so i cant get to bios or any thing for that matter. i checked the 12volt power to the board and the other power sources i even put on my extra 450 watt power suply thinking that i needed more power. still nothing . so here i am pleading for help. please

Dodge Here are all the drivers , plus the Acrobat (PDF) links for the Manual for this board Have you got any of these? The clue to your setback will be somewhere here. Bios setting or a missed/loose connector, jumper in wrong position can all contribute ,take your time... you may see where you tripped up if you go slowly in the order of the instructions Hope somebody who knows about these can give more advice? It's a mystery to me as well without the manual to help

thanx bedstor i think the board is bad but ill read some stuff . there,s not really much to play with on this board and i did try a vidio card with it so it sould have had something pop up on the screen. any who thanx ill read some now.

thought an update was needed. i just pulled my xp athlon processer out of my game rig and put it on the bad board guess what? that sucker fired right up and works good .so in conclusion the motherboard is good and the processer is bad. not bad from a dummy like me huh. yeeeeeeehaaawwwwwwww

Dodge I can picture you doing a dance of delight just like this Guy I got this off the other forum www.discussionpool.com What must have happened was the security lever was possibly half engaged bending a pin and when you inserted the other chip it was in the fully off position? Thats my theory the pins are very easy to damage and There's a better than 70/30 chance you cannot bend the pins straight(very fine touch needed) Result a scrap Chip?

he he yep thats the dance all right.he he i had a second look at the processer and i saw some very small and i mean small black dots so i checked with another processer sure enough. now i got to find that magnafying glass to have a really good look at it.
