Hi all! I'm trying again after a long period of time to find a power adapter/charger for a Zenith Z-Sport 425S laptop. I have looked all over Ebay, googled it, checked yahoo auctions, and simply cannot find one. Does anyone have any ideas on where I can find this adapter? I'd appreciate it if everyone could keep an eye out, and maybe even post on other sites they may be members of to see if anyone in this world has this laptop, and the adapter, like I do. It has a unique plug in, so a universal wont work. I have also called Zenith, but they no longer have any records of the laptop, much less the adapter. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Adaptors have you tried any of those adaptor plugs with the Multiple ends Chris that elecrical store stock for universal mains adaptors? They plug onto the lead I have noticed that they can vary slightly from maker to maker
Another thing, if all else fails find a Mains adaptor with the same output voltage Cut the lead off your adaptor, and cut the lead of the "new adaptor" then attach the plug/lead from yours to the new adaptor(with a terminal block) making sure the lead is the right polarity...blows mainboard fuse if fitted? (May be a clue with the wiring color?) A multimeter is a great asset here if you have the use of one? Google for dead adaptor of this make . May turn up something ..perhaps from a repair guy somewhere who has one in a junk box?

Wanted: Power adapter for Zenith Z-Sport 425S laptop. - Victoria ...I've been going crazy trying to find a charger/power adapter for this laptop. if anyone has a working adapter, please contact me as soon as possible
Quelle surprise!! Its YOU!
Lets see where else other than the usual places for free you can post here are some to try Gumtree which is the Europe and worldwide version of Kijiji (lots of sites) www.gumtree.com www.recycler.com/ very US orientated
About several pages below your query they do have units in stock but no hint as to your number exept to say they are sometimes common to certain models (that sounds good? ) and they have an Inqury form you can complete if you cannot see anything familiar www.affordablesurplus.com/power-supply-inquiry.htm

If you can find out what kind of voltage/amperage the laptop requires (usually listed on the power port or on a sticker on the bottom), you may be able to find a compatible adapter at RadioShack.

cswchan, Thanks, but they dont have one that will work either, the connector for this laptop has 3 rows of holes, similar to a ps/2 connection on a mouse or keyboard, with 3 holes on the top row, 4 on the middle row, and two on the bottom row. A very unique connector to be sure.

Well, I've decided not to keep trying to find this adapter, it doesnt seem to be out there anyway. The laptop is so old it has a 25 mhz processor, and a max of 12 MB RAM. That much I've been able to find out. I was really just curious as to whether or not it still worked. Thanks to all who tried!

Yes, it sure was bedstor, and I have a copy of 3.1 here too, and was wanting to install it on this laptop. I may just hang to it for awhile, and see if anything turns up, havent decided yet. Who knows, if I find an adapter, I may even use it for Linux systems.

bedstor, I'm afraid I dont see how this unit would help guy, it seems to be for people who already have power adapters, and want to run the laptop from inside their car? Maybe I'm missing something here? LOL

P.S. I've been looking every now and then for this adapter, instead of worrying myself to death all the time over it, .

I appreciate that bedstor, but I'm afraid its still not the right one, this laptop runs at 14v, not 9.8. It also appears to have 9 pins. Thanks for trying tho, I very much appreciate your efforts!
