Cannon 600. Have cleaned, deep-cleaned and tried to align the heads -though I didn't really understand the directions.

The other other colors print clearly. Only the black is damaged. Blurring occurs every fifth or ninth line depending on the width of the columns I'm copying and printing from the web.
Please advise. Thanks in advance. Happy holidaze.

I suggest that you uninstall the printer, then reinstall the print driver. If possible, download the new driver from the cannon site: Canon

Try looking in the Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs for the the canon printer. If you see it there, uninstall it. If you don't see it, you can open the Printer folder in the Control Panel and select and delete the printer.

I suggest you unplug the printer from the computer and follow the directions on the reinstall carefully. Some printers want the printer plugged in only when prompted, others want it plugged in before installing the driver.

It it so much easier to have all the posts on a single subject in one thread. If you don't object, I would like to remove the other posting and just respond to it here in this thread.

If the uninstall/reinstall didn't work, then my next question would be about the ink cartridge. Is it the correct one?

From the canon site: Are you using the correct black ink cartridge?

For optimum results, Canon recommends the use of genuine Canon brand media and inks with your printer. Canon supplies and accessories can be purchased online at http://estore.usa.canon.com/ or by calling 1-800-385-2155 to speak to a Canon eStore representative.

The ink cartridge isn't the problem, I suggest you contact Canon and see is they can offer any repair suggestions.
