I have a big computer problem. (Forgive me if it is to long)

I have a HP Pavillion ze5300 and we had a power outage last weekend and it was out for 2 days. I keep it on because I send weather data to some web sites so it needs to stay on all the time. I got up in the middle of the night and the power was out but the computer was still on. The batt. must of taken over but then that died over night. I turned the computer on the next day with the power still being out just to see what would happen and I sae this blue box with computer language on it them I quickly turned it off b/c I did not know what would happened if I messed arround with it more. So when the power came on the next day, the pc was all charged up and it would start up normally with the winowls XP logo and what not and when it is done, it shows a blue screen and it says to Begin click on user name. My user name that was there normally is not. There is no where to click. You can't get passed that point. If has never done this before. I would start up normal like windows systems do and then take me directly to the desktop but not it does not even do that. My computer crashed once and I had to re-install everything and I don't want have to do it again. I got start up disks fro HP the first time it went down on me and I can't find them. I did try control-alt-delete thought to get to the password box but I don't rember what user name and password I used the first time. I typed in everything I could rember. So I'm stuck where no place to go. Can anybody help me? Thx. Wink

I called HP today and they are sending those disks. Hopefully this will work and if not, some of my data will be lost and I will have to re install Windows XP again. Frown This is the second time. I'm just having bad luck with this computer.
