First, I'm not sure if this is the best place for this question, so Dwight, if there is a better forum, please feel free to move it. Anyway, my printer, for some weird and unknown reason, is not working. I tried to print something and it made this sort of buzzing noise, then this thing came up to say that the cartrige couldn't move and to check for a paper jam. I checked, there was no jam. I can slide the cartrige along it's little bar, but it doesn't seem to be catching on whatever electrionically makes it move. It worked fine last night, so I don't quite understand what he heck is going on. Oh, and my printer is an hp deskjet 3420 if that makes any difference.
It was nice and compact and did a pretty good job as long as it lasted.... The print cartridge mechanism broke away from the belt that moves it- too expensive to fix and out of the short 90-day warranty period. The ink cartridges are very small- it went through them like candy- and a replacement set cost more than the printer!

Crappy! It would figure that my stupid printer was a free offer dealy when you buy a computer. Well, if warranty is only 90 (how ridiculous) I guess i'm better off just to buy a new printer than the pay more than the printer itself costed to get it fixed. It was a loud printer anyway
I've had several clients with this printer that had the same problem. I could not fix them for less than the cost of purchasing a new printer, so that is what each client did.
