What is the Motherboard model number Koicarp? If we have that info we may be able to determine if a AMD Athlon XP 2000+ GHZ is a straight drop in? They are getting quite cheap now (about the 60 to 70 pounds price range) I'm running this chip with 1 gig ram (Chaintech CT-7VLJ1 motherboard) and it copes easily with what I throw at it Combined with a Geforce FX 5200 graphics card. running Dfx 9.0 Important number is what the "Bus" speed is the higher the faster...mine runs a FSB speed of 200-266 mhz but is running at the lower speed (Switched in BIOS) until I fit a AMD XP 2600+ later this year.. Then it'll howl along!! Here is the spec page for it: http://www.chaintechusa.com/tw/eng/product_spec.asp?MPSNo=13&PISNo=138[This message was edited by bedstor on 07-24-03 at 06:52 PM.]
